Nasreddin was the main character in a magazine, called simply Molla Nasraddin, published in Azerbaijan and "read across the Muslim world from Morocco to Iran.
*A Ring to Remember* is a story of Nasruddin's finger ring made of precious stones that his close friends always eyed.
One day he told Nasruddin that he was going far away. He asked Nasruddin to give him something that he could look at and be reminded of him. He asked Nasruddin for his precious ring.
To this, Nasruddin told his friend that it would be better he did not give him the ring, so that every time he saw his finger without the ring, he would be reminded of Nasruddin.
